Set against the stunning backdrop of Newport Beach, this prestigious event brings together the next generation of sailing talent for thrilling head-to-head competition and unforgettable racing.

Hosted by Balboa Yacht Club, the Governor’s Cup showcases the skill, strategy, and sportsmanship of young sailors from around the globe as they compete in identical Governor’s Cup 22 sloops provided by the Newport Balboa Sailing & Seamanship Association. Designed by renowned yacht designer and BYC Staff Commodore Alan Andrews, these high-performance boats deliver exciting racing in a wide range of conditions, from light breezes to challenging coastal winds.
