Florida Captiva Island
One of the best parts of being in the yacht business is having the opportunity to spend time with owners onboard their vessels. Palm Beach enjoyed one such opportunity this past January when a dozen Palm Beach yachts cruised to idyllic South Seas Plantation on Florida’s Captiva Island. More than 30 attendees, including owners from northern states who left their yachts at home, enjoyed the weekend event.
Highlights from the excursion included a visit to historic Useppa Island, a museum tour and a delicious South Florida lunch. While some less fortunate folks hunkered down in the frigid winter weather up north, these lucky Palm Beach owners enjoyed a docktail party and boat hop, where they swapped stories and shared the custom touches of their particular yacht.
Owners also took part in several informational sessions, including a presentation by Volvo on how to take care of engines, drives and generators. Palm Beach Motor Yacht’s Vice President of Sales for North America, Dave Northrop, kept guests engaged with an update on Palm Beach’s product development over the past three years, as well as a sneak peek into future plans.
The fun-filled weekend forged new friendships among owners, created lasting memories and inspired future rendezvous for a group whose passion for Palm Beach runs deep.
